Walking w/ Wolves

Even though it's been colder than usual here, I decided to take Zeek out to the WLS on Saturday. We used to go there all the time, even in the snow, when he was little. That was before I knew he doesn't like being outdoors very much.

Greg heard we were going and said he'd like to join us. The truth is, he likes being outdoors about as much. But he's sweet. He loves family time, and he's always open to doing things that I enjoy doing.

We had a nice time. It was quick in and quick out. We maybe walked 35 minutes. I could have stayed and walked another 30 mins, but I didn't want it to be unpleasant for them. I'm hoping they'll both be so easy to jump into these little outings and adventures in the future.

My favorite part of our time was when we were walking up a little hill in the woods and we could hear all the wolves howling...

We also made sure to stop for a couple minutes and take some pictures of us together. We don't have very many of those anymore.

Model Helicopter

I suppose leaving the house would be the start to my definition of new adventures, but as the weather is not cooperating, even in mid-March, I am finding there's nothing wrong with indoor adventures.

For instance, today, I bought Ezekiel a model airplane (helicopter) kit, and paints and supplies to build it. He's excited to get started, and I'm happy to have him embark on an unusual project. One that both my own Dad and my brother enjoyed when I was a kid.

This is one of the pictures I took to send him his model kit options this morning.

And this is the text where he said he was looking forward to this adventure himself!

I suppose this will require me to say "yes" to taking more pictures again too.
Aye-aye!

Walking w/ my Fifty

Frank and I have been walking. Even tho the temperatures haven't been as warm as I'd like. It might just be around the extended neighborhood, but it's an adventure still. 'Specially with this fella.

Doing Things Out There

This is my test post for setting up this new blog. Why I have so many blogs I'll never understand. If you are reading this you might find it funny to know that I have many private blogs that are unseen, even. I just love to write, journal, document, and have keepsakes of my life. I've never been disappointed for having one. They are all dear to me.

I am hoping this one will motivate and inspire me. Nothing holds me accountable like keeping a running tally or a log of my intentions and actions. This is my second "Yes" place, and I can't wait to fill it to the brim with adventures, both solo, couple, family, and just Zeek and I over then next several months.

God's Speed!
